EPDs for Comfort and Compact | A step towards a greener future

At Nilan, we see environmental responsibility as a vital part of future solutions – not just a choice, but an obligation. That’s why we work continuously to create products that not only meet your expectations, but also address the growing demand for environmentally friendly solutions.

As part of this effort, we have now prepared EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) for our popular Comfort and Compact series.
 

What is an EPD?

An EPD is a documented and verified declaration of a product’s environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle – from production and use to recycling.
 
The EPDs are prepared in accordance with international standards such as EN 15804 and can be used to:
  • Create transparency about the environmental impact of the products
  • Ensure that you choose solutions which comply with the requirements of environmentally certified buildings
  • Make it easier to obtain certifications such as DGNB or BREEAM
 
At present, there is no requirement for EPDs for residential ventilation products in new buildings in Denmark – but this can be expected in the future.
 

How do the Comfort and Compact series contribute to the environment?
